Obituary of Louis Gallart

Louis Gallart Jr. Pine Bush, NY Louis J. Gallart Jr., 89, born in Glen Cove, Long Island, on May 18, 1931, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Louis is survived by his wife, Virginia Gallart (Martino), of 66 years, his children: John Gallart and his significant other Marie Smith, Stephen Gallart and his wife Patricia Gallart, and David Gallart, his grandchildren: Kenneth Gallart, his wife Ashley Gallart, Bryan Gallart and his significant other Kaitlin, Matthew Gallart and his significant other Lyndsey Keyser, TJ Stevenfield and his significant other Autumn Berentsen, and Michael Gallart. Louis was also very excited to have his first great grandchild on the way. Louis served in the Air Force from 1952-1956 and was honorably discharged as S/Sgt. He was the last founding member and a past commander of The Catholic War Veterans in Pine Bush, N.Y. He retired and moved to the Pine Bush area 27 years ago. Louis enjoyed Saturday evening mass at Infant Savior church. He also loved a good game of golf and being involved in all family get togethers. His favorite way to spend his time was having a beer or cup of coffee with his sons and grandsons. He was so proud of his sons and grandsons; he would brag about them to anyone that listened. He was known for his quick wit and outspoken personality that never left his family with a dull moment. Due to the current pandemic, the family has decided to hold off on services at this time; however, a celebration of life will be planned for the future.
