We are deeply saddened to learn of Sandy's passing. Joe and Sandy worked together at S.S. Seward back in the mid 70s to mid 80s. Sandy was such a wonderful friend, always showing compassion and care for those around her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Ellen, Kelly and Ryan. May they be comforted by the many positive memories of their mom.

I was sorry to hear of the loss of my cousin Sandy. My wife and I visited her and Dick a few years ago. This visit was the first in about 50 years. Sandy's mom, Eleanor, was my dad's sister. I have been compiling our family history and Sandy shared several old family photos and letters.
I am George Lewenczuk. I live in Hannibal, MO. I am a retired engineer. I was born and raised in MA .

Dear Dick, Ryan, Ellen, Kelly and families, I am at a loss for words. I have so many fond memories of your mom and all our games of scrabble, cups of tea and travels together. I can not imagine the hole in your hearts. Please know my thoughts and healing energy is with you all during this very difficult time. Your mom was one of my best friends during my years in Wallkill and beyond. Hugs and love to you all. Becky (Torchio) Pease

If I made a list of the characteristics of a perfect friend, that list would match point to point of Sandy's personal characteristics. She was my very special friend and I will miss her so very much. We became friends when we both started working at the Florida, NY school. Our conversations where long, deep, funny and incredibly truthful.
I give thanks for her life touching mine for it gave my life a richness that I would never have enjoyed without Sandy.
Nothing can replace a long rich friendship and may she share friendship with others in heaven.

We are so sorry for your loss. We will never forget Sandy. She was "grandma Sandy" to our daughter Cora (Dick's granddaughter), who loved her very much. I will always remember how willingly Grandma Sandy would wedge herself in next to Cora's car seat, when she and Dick would come for a visit to go to dinner with us, in order to satisfy Cora's demand to "sit next to Grandma Sandy." We loved her and we will miss her.
