Obituary of Marie S. Bain

Marie S. Bain Pine Bush, NY Marie S. Bain, a retired Attendant for the Middletown State Hospital and long time resident of the area passed away on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 92. The daughter of the late Joseph Smolin and Olga Tarabass Smolin, she was born on August 28, 1920 in Wallington, NJ. Marie retired from Mastercraft in Pine Bush, and she worked for many years at the Borderline Deli. Survivors include her 5 children; Paul Bain and wife Diane of Circleville, Robert Bain and wife Linnea of Bullville, John Bain Jr. and wife Karen of Illinois, Barbara Bain of Lake Pleasant, Jay Bain and wife Betsy also of Lake Pleasant. Grandchildren; Robert Jr., Gary, Dan, Linnea, Tammy, Stacey, Michael, Marie, and Annie, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister; Olga Cebry of Kingston, NY, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her ex-husband, John Bain, and son; Kenny Bain. A special thank you goes to Annette Santopietro, the nursing staff at Park Manor and ORMC and also to her devoted caregiver and friend, Amy. Visitation will be held on Friday February 15, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Services will be offered on Saturday February 16, 2013 at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery.
