Charles S. Garrison
Walker Valley, NY
Charles S. Garrison (“Charlie”), age 63, passed away on February 9, 2022. The family is deeply saddened by his death. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Lois A. Garrison and his father Charles N, Garrison. He is survived by his daughters Kelly Sacino and Aliza Reed; his son-in-law Michele Sacino, Jr.; his four grandchildren, Michele Sacino III, Gianna Sacino, Jordyn Reed and Kadence Reed; and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Charlie was a lifelong resident of Walker Valley, NY. He graduated from Pine Bush High School and went on to be a successful entrepreneur – always looking for a new business opportunity – and for 21 years the owner of Walker Valley Auto, Inc.
Charlie was always a family man, a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved and was unendingly proud of his grandchildren.
He was a hard worker and only retired a few years prior to his passing. In his retirement he found joy in helping and supporting his hometown – from organizing food drives and the annual trunk-or-treat, to lighting up Walker Valley every Christmas. A multifaceted maverick and Jack of all Trades he could always be found working up some crazy idea or event to benefit his family or community. He found solace in nature and loved taking walks with his dog, Harley. He loved being by the water, on a boat, or out fishing with his grandkids at the lake.
Anyone who knew Charlie knew that he was the most loving father a family could ask for and the friend you could always count on. He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Charlie is now at peace surrounded by light.
