When I was a little girl in Spain, I wanted to hide in Mary's luggage so I can go with her to USA. Life is unpredictable and many years later, I met her in person in NY. There was something very special about Mary, her smile, her contagious optimism, an inevitable attraction to her. I love you Mary, all of our family here and back in Spain love you, thanks for being an incredible and inspiring woman, so proud to being able to enjoy you!

Mary Gago was active in the Promenade Senior Day Program for a few years. She was such a lovely lady! Much loved by all, especially our Spanish speaking members. Mary was very intelligent and ever so kind. I can personally commend the care Mary received from her daughter, Angela and son-in-law Dominique, They were devoted to Mary and always at the ready to support her every need. It was a true pleasure to know and work with Mary and her family over the years. Linda O'Donnell

I admired her so for being able to do it all way before it became a "thing." A super mother, loving wife to the extraordinary Robert, and skilled school professional, all with creativity and prodigious amounts of zing.
