Sandra Carol DeHaan (Sandy) at 64 years old passed away on September 23rd, 2023 at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, NY. She was born on June 26th, 1959, in Goshen, NY to Joyce and Ernest Van Orden. She had meet her husband Gysbertus (Burt) A. Dehaan in Franklin, NJ. They married on September 18, 1976. They spent many years in Middletown, NY where they also raised their six children, before she retired in Bloomingburg, NY. Sandy was a hard worker who had many job titles. She had many accomplishments within her captivating lifestyle, such as A.C. Moore, Classic Q, Valley Supreme Supermarket, Caldor’s, and Salvation Army just to name a few. She was a very well respected women and easy to get along with. She could be stubborn at times, but no matter what she was always dependable and in good spirits. Sandy loved the outdoors even as a child, she was always traveling and meeting new people. Sandy was preceded in death by her father Ernest Van Orden, her husband Gysbertus (Burt) DeHaan and her first child, Amy Lee at a young 6 weeks old. She is survived by her mother Joyce VanOrden of Pine Bush, NY, her siblings Debbie Kowalewski  of Oakdale, CT, Edward VanOrden Sr of Jacksonville, FL, and Nancy Bressi of Milton, NY, her children Gysbertus (Guy) DeHaan of Ca, Shannon Font of Utah, Kimberly DeHaan, Shawn DeHaan of NY, and Joshua DeHaan of GA, 17 Grandchildren; Preseaus & AmyLee DeHaan, Keith, Robert Jr, Daniel Kelly, Adrianna, Cara, & Brycen Font, Keiliana & Izabella Squicciarini, Lawrence & Aaliyah Turner, Joseph Tomasulo, Phearah  DeHaan, Joshua Jr., Damien & Emily DeHaan and her Great Granddaughter, Averie Kelly. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. Family and friends are welcome to come pay their respects on Friday October 6, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints located at 790 Silverlake Scotchtown Road Middletown NY 10940,  Services will start at 5pm followed by refreshments.
