Obituary of Barbara Ann Fisher
Barbara Ann Fisher
Pine Bush, NY
After 82 years of a life well lived, Barbara Fisher passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24th 2024. Barbara was born to her parents, Laura and Salvatore Pignatelli in May of 1942. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx (where she was known as “Babs”) and worked as an Administrative Assistant for the phone company.
There could never be enough paper to write the books describing all that embodied this amazing woman. Beyond being a cherished wife, beloved mother, adored sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she was an all around fun lady.
Barbara was an avid reader and lover of trivia. She enjoyed playing games like Scrabble, Yahtzee, Scattergories and Trivial Pursuit and adored the music stylings of the great Elvis Presley. Barbara was also a die hard Yankees fan and watched each game with great devotion. She was a beach enthusiast and enjoyed countless trips to Ocean City, NJ with her family where she walked endless miles on the boardwalk – a favorite pastime.
The most important thing in the world to Barbara was her family. She hosted holidays and family gatherings for the better part of six decades and attended innumerable graduations, sporting events, and birthday celebrations with joy and enthusiasm. She never wanted to miss a party and was always a generous giver, giving careful thought to each and every gift. She also donated regularly to many different organizations she held close to her heart.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents and her sister Francine Pignatelli. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tom Fisher, sister Irene Morris (Tom), her 4 daughters Dawn Herzog (Paul), Christine DeSantis (Phil), Denise Meagher, Danielle Vignone (Chris). She is also survived by step daughters Tammy Fisher and Keri Fisher, her grandchildren Christopher, Bobby, Michael, Alexa, Brooke, Sebastian, Jack, Damian, Jillian, Shane, Sierra, Jessica, Cole and Summer. Also, great grandchildren Sterling, Emery, Theo and Cole Jr. 4 Nephews, Ryan, Eric, Scott, and Danny.
