Pine Bush, NY

William "Willy", "Billy"  Demetriou, a resident of Pine Bush, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 66.  The son of the late Michael and Athena Persinos Demetriou, he was born on November 9, 1957.  Willy was retired from the Pine Bush Central School District where he devoted 29 years of hard work.  He had currently been a part time employee with Alto Music in Middletown, NY. Willy also was a member of the New Jersey Antique Radio Club for more than 20 years. He was an avid collector of Antique Radio's.

William is survived by;  his sons: Dustin (Colleen Coburn) Demetriou and Anthony (Allison) Demetriou, his daughters: Brittany Demetriou, ,and Deanna Demetriou,  Grandchildren: Andrew Demetriou and Athena Demetriou, Sisters: Ann Hughes and Chris (Richard) Mendler , brother: Jimmy (Barbara) Demetriou  Along with several nieces and nephews. William was pre-deceased by; brother: Andrew Demetriou, sisters : Melanie Kassalias and Helen Stafford, brother in laws: Robert Hughes, Leo Kassalias, and Wendell Stafford.

A Celebration of William’s life will take place on Saturday November 2, 2024 from 2-6pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY.  In lieu of flowers: Contributions can be made to St.Jude Children’s  Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
