Nicholette (Nikki) Irwin

Nikki Irwin, a resident of Burlingham N.Y., passed away peacefully on Saturday January 4, 2025 at The Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty, N.Y. She was 82. The daughter of the late Henry Bradley and Elizabeth Hanak, Bradley, Nicholette was born on December 3, 1942 in Hamtramck, Michigan.
After graduating Pine Plains High School, Nikki took a position as a book keeper for General Electric Supply in New York City. A few short years later, she married her husband Douglas on November 9, 1963. In 1966 Nikki and Doug, along with her brother John and wife Fran, made the decision to start a Dairy Farm. The Dairy business was located on her parent’s farm in Pine Plains NY. Nikki and John’s family worked the farm and raised their families there. Due to an injury, Nikki’s family moved away from farming, to where she resided in Burlingham NY. Nikki and Doug were a loving, amazing couple. They supported and cared for each other for over 61 years. They raised two successful sons and are the proud Grandparents of 7 grandchildren.
Nicholette was a private person. She was very supportive of the Catholic Church and was very dedicated to her religion. Those who were blessed to know her, saw her as a beautiful and amazing person. She is loved and will be missed by all. Upon the announcement of this sad news, Cousins and friends had nothing but fond memories of her.
Nicholette is survived by her Loving and Supportive Husband Doug, who still resides at their home in Burlingham NY. Their son Kerry and his wife Dawn of Milford PA, Son David and his wife Karen of Pine Bush NY. Grandchildren include: Justin Irwin with wife Crystal, bringing the first great grandchild Jude , Victoria Irwin with Husband Rob Freer, Dylan Irwin with Claire, Alexa Irwin with Damian, Corey Irwin and Jordan Irwin. Nephews include: John Bradley and Frank Bradley residing in Pine Plains NY. Frank’s daughter and great niece Jade of Florida.
Nicholette is predeceased by her parents Henry Bradley and Elizabeth Hanak Bradley, her Brother John Bradley all of Pine Plains NY.
Nikki’s ashes will be laid to rest at private funeral in Pine Plains Evergreen Cemetery. The future date for this ceremony has not yet been determined. The announcement will sent to family once the date is set.
Nikki said,” I have always hated funerals. They make people sad. Gail, (her sister-in-law) did it right. The people she loved will remember her the way she was. Please do the same for me.”
Memorial Contributions in Nicholette Irwin’s name may made to St. Jude Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
