Obituary of William J. Barbieri

William J. Barbieri William J. Barbieri, a retired foreman of the Carpenter Shop in the American Musuem of Natural History, New York City and area resident since 1981, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at home. He was 85. The son of Firoenzo Barbieri and Mary Ferrary Barbieri, he was born May 26, 1922 in the Bronx. William was a member of Church of the Infant Saviour and Our Lady of Valley, Walker Valley. He was a Veteran of Army Air Force. Survivors include his beloved wife Dorothy Vlahov Barbieri, at home; loving daughter, Janet L. Barbieri; loving son, John C. Barbieri, and his wife, Chris Harris; loving brother, Fred Barbieri and his wife, Nancy; loving adopted daughter, Michele Skibnoski. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, from 2-4, 7-9 at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 25, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Infant Saviour, Rt. 302, Pine Bush with Father Kevin Gallagher officiating.
