Viola M. Glass a life long resident of the area passed away on
Wednesday November 13, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center in
Middletown. She was 98. The daughter of the late George
F. Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Miller Anderson, she was born on
July 11, 1915 in Bullville, NY. Viola was a Registered Nurse
from the City of Kingston Hospital School of Nursing, and graduated
in 1936. She was also a bookkeeper for the family business, a
licensed private pilot, and the NYS Woman's Pistol Champion from
1954-1956. Survivors include her son, Herbert G. Glass and
his wife MaryAnn of Pine Bush, daughter, Ellen Crocker and her
husband John of Santa Rosa, California; 4 grandchildren; Zan Barr
of Santa Rosa, California, Andrew Glass and his wife Erin of Port
Jervis, Alex Crocker of Sacramento California, and Sean Crocker and
his wife Leanna of Sitka, Alaska, 2 great grandchildren; Kalena and
Kelan Barr. Viola is predeceased by her husband, Herbert J.
Glass and her brother, Clyde Anderson. Friends and family may
gather on Sunday November 17, 2013 from 1-3pm at the William M.
Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY
12566. Services will be held at 2:30pm at the funeral home.
