Joseph E. "Smokey" Greagor
Joseph E. "Smokey" Greagor, a retired sergeant for the Westchester Co. Parkway Police Department and 21-year area resident, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at ORMC, Horton Campus, Middletown. He was 78.
The son of the late Joseph Greagor and Isabelle Farquhar Greagor, he was born September 4, 1929 in Yonkers.
He was a member of the Pine Bush Senior Citizens. He was also a veteran of the Korean War having served his country as a Marine.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lois Munroe Greagor at home; loving daughter, Laura Helgans and her husband Edward of North Haven, Conn.; loving son, Joseph Greagor and his wife Eileen of Wappingers Falls; five loving grandchildren, Mary, Sharon, Kristy, Kimberly and Joseph; one loving brother, Richard Greagor of Hopewell Junction; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Robert and Emerick Greagor.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, September 30 at William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc., 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 1 at the funeral home, Pastor Robin Hogle officiating.
Cremation will be held in Cedar Hill Crematory.
