Obituary of Joseph E. Greising

Joseph E. Greising Pine Bush, NY Joseph E. Greising, a lifelong resident of Pine Bush, passed away on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 87. The son of the late Emily and Joseph Greising, he was born on August 25, 1925 in Ulsterville, NY. Joe was married to Ann Thomas Greising for 63 years. Joe was a veteran of the US Army serving in Japan during WWII and was also a member of the American Legion Post 1308. He was a retired Teamster of Local 445 working in highway and building construction. After retiring, he enjoyed wood working, reading, travel, and spending time with is family. Joe was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a quiet gentle man with a big heart who always helped others and had a soft spot for animals. Joseph is survived by his wife, Ann at home, his daughters; Joanne Greising and her husband Hank Greenblatt, Sue Mias and husband Greg, Barbara Greising, and husband Michael Schram, 5 grandchildren, Katherine and Max Greenblatt, Kurt and Sarah Mias, and Matthew Schram, sister, Mary Wilson, brother, Frank Greising and his wife Jane, brother Ray Greising and wife Lois and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, John Greising and Ernest Greising. Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 22, 2013 at 11am at The Reformed Church of Shawangunk with Pastor Howard Dalton officiating. Burial will take place in Bruynswick Rural Cemetery in Wallkill with full military honors.
