Obituary of Thomas Grossi

Thomas Grossi Pine Bush, NY Thomas Grossi, a lifelong resident of the area passed away on Friday December 16, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 85. The son of the late Michaelangelo Grossi and Pasqualina Ferrara Grossi, he was born on April 4, 1926 in Pine Bush. Thomas worked for the Town of Shawangunk as the Dog Control Officer; he was a member of the Walker Valley Sportsman Club for 47 years, the Walker Valley Fire Dept, the Ridge Runners Hunting Club, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and was 2nd in NY State for Trap Shooting and won numerous trophies. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Frances at home, daughter; Kathleen Griffin and her husband John of Pine Bush, step children Debbie Gross and husband Larry of Orlando and Anne Schelhorn and her husband Randy of Greenfield Park, grandchildren; Michelle, Jennifer, Brian and Jimmy May, Christine Colom and her husband Chris, and Tommy Griffin, step grandchildren; Steve, Brian, and David Gross, Monica Burris, Megan and Frank Sirico, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, son in law James May and further survived by Lillian Ross. Thomas is predeceased by his daughter, Patricia May and his brothers, Dominick Grossi and Francis Grossi. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2011 from 4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:30 with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Cremation had taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
