Obituary of Jennie Grottolo

Jennie Grottolo Pine Bush, NY The loving heart of Jennie Grottolo, of Pine Bush, NY, formerly of Yorktown Heights, NY and Spring Hill FL, entered into rest on Monday December 30, 2013. She was 88 years old. The daughter of the late Domenick Tangredi and Julia Morrone Tangredi she was born in Manhattan on November 14, 1925. Jennie was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School and was an active member of the Yorktown Emblem Club for many years. She worked as a secretary during World War II, enjoyed being a homemaker, and returned to work in the Yorktown School System. Jennie was the devoted wife of Robert G. Grottolo of Pine Bush, formerly of Spring Hill, FL and Yorktown Heights, NY, for 67 years. Survivors include her husband Robert at home; her sister Anna B. Tangredi of Mamaroneck, NY; son Robert D. Grottolo and his wife Elizabeth of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Carol A. Jorgenson-Roach and her husband Dr. Brian C. Roach of Redwood City, CA; daughter Anne M. O'Dell of Pine Bush, NY; and granddaughters Alexis and Bianca Grottolo of Jacksonville, FL. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 5, 2014 from 2-5pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY 12566. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday January 6, 2014 at 10 am at the Church of the Infant Savior, 22 Holland Avenue (off Rte 302), Pine Bush, NY 12566, with burial to follow at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 12566.
