Obituary of Fred J. Lake

Fred J. Lake Sr. Montgomery, NY Fred J. Lake Sr. a retired machinist for American Felt and Filter Co. in Newburgh and a life time resident of the area passed away on Friday November 14, 2008 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in Campbell Hall, NY. He was 88. The son of the late John Lake and Hattie Krom Lake, he was born on September 4, 1920 in Walden, NY. A Veteran of WWII, Fred served his country in the Army Air Corp as a Sergeant. Survivors include his loving daughter Barbara Froehlich of Montgomery, NY loving son Fred J. Lake Jr. And his wife Kathy of Loxahatchee, Florida, loving son Allan R. Lake and his wife Virginia of Montgomery, NY, 7 loving grandchildren, 9 loving great grandchildren, loving brothers, Donald Lake of Walden and John Lake of Ohio, loving sister Shirley DePace of Liberty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Fred is predeceased by his wife Margaret Lake. Visitation will be held on Monday November 17, 2008 from 6-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home 1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush, NY. Funeral service will take place on Monday at 8:00pm during the visitation. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
