Norma Blake Cook, a retired farmer on her family farm and life
time resident of the area, passed away on Monday May 28, 2012 at
Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 98. The
daughter of the late John Blake and Delia Hoyt Blake, she was born
on May 9, 1914 in Bloomingburg, NY. Norma was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Middletown and The United Church of Christ in
Howells. Survivors include her grandchildren; Lisa
DeBeauvernet and her husband Robert of Bloomingburg, Rollin Cook
Jr. and his wife Jacquelyn of Pennsylvania, and Andrew Cook and his
wife Sophia of Bloomingburg, daughter in law; Patricia Cook of
Bloomingburg, 5 great grandchildren; Courtney, Corinne and Robert
DeBeauvernet, Paris, Penelope, and Patryck Cook, 2 nephews; Daniel
Blake of Illinois, and Bernard Blake of California. She is
predeceased by her husband Harold Cook, son; Rollin Cook Sr,
brother; Bernard Blake, nieces; Martha Blake and Donna Blake.
Services will take place on Friday June 1, 2012 at 11am at the
William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush,
NY. Burial will be at the family plot in Bloomingburg
Cemetery. Please make Donations to The First Baptist Church,
11 Mulberry St. Middletown NY 10940 or to The United Church of
Christ at New Vernon PO Box 42, Howells NY 10932. Arrangements
