Dorothy Beach
Goshen, N.Y.
Dorothy Beach went to live with her Lord on June 11, 2011. The
daughter of the late George and Anna Lachat, she was born on
November 1, 1922 in Queens, NY. She was an executive
secretary for Citibank, played piano and organ and enjoyed bowling,
golf, and art. Dorothy was a kind and loving person who put
her family first and was sensitive and always showed concern for
others, making a difference in their lives and sharing God's love.
Dorothy is survived by her son James and daughter Kathy Vollano;
grandchildren: Kara Zonies, Gregory Beach and his wife Izabela,
Scott Vollano and his wife Erica, Lisa Michel and her husband Mark
and great grandchildren: Andris and Aidan Zonies, Zachary and
Cassidy Beach, Nicholas, Jonathan and Isabella Vollano, and Ethan
and Connor Michel. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved
husband Arthur in June 2009 after 67 wonderful years of marriage,
her brother George Lachat, and her son-in-law Robert Vollano. The
family would like to thank the staff of Glen Arden and in
particular of the Health Care Center and the Visiting Angels all of
whom gave loving and compassionate care. A Celebration of her life
will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at 3:30pm at Glen Arden in
Goshen (Rhinebeck Room). Memorial contributions can be made to Glen
Arden Health Care Center or to a charity of your choice.
