John J. Arnott
Pine Bush, NY
John J. Arnott a retired Truck Driver and Mechanic and longtime
resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2014 at the
James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx NY surrounded by his
family. He was 82. The son of the late Harold F. Arnott and
Florence M. Dempsey, he was born on November 11, 1931 in Islip,
NY. A Veteran, John served his country in the US Army from
1952-1954. Survivors include his loving daughter, Barbara
Rowley and her husband Milton of Wallkill, NY, his beloved canine
companions Hotshot and Sassy as well as many nieces and
nephews. John is predeceased by his wife, Clara, sister,
Marguerite Walker, and 4 brothers; William, Harold, Raymond, and
Donald Arnott. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 22,
2014 from 2-5pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525
Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. Services will be offered on Monday June
23, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in New
Prospect Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan
