Obituary of William Marsh

William Marsh Sr. a Caretaker of the Sam’s Point Preserve in Cragsmoor and lifelong resident of the area passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 14, 2008. He was 56. The son of the late Garrett C. Marsh and Marie A. Burgoyne Marsh, he was born on July 30, 1952 in Tuxedo, NY. William was a member of the New York State Search and Rescue Team in addition to taking care of the Sam’s Point Preserve. Survivors include his loving son William Marsh Jr. and his wife Nicole of Bloomingburg, 2 loving grandsons; Dylan Marsh and Cole Felicello, his wife Cheryl Marsh of Wurtsboro, brothers, Richard, Robert, and Gregory Marsh, and John Kelly. Sisters, Cathy Alesci, Karen Harford, Debby Nelson, Cindy Kelly, and Barbara Ercoline. William is also survived by his foster mother, Eleanor Kelly and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, Garrett Marsh Jr, Edward Marsh, and David Marsh, a sister Debbie Kelly Butkaus, and his foster father John Kelly. A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday October 18, 2008 from 12-2pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY.
