Mario Coppola a retired Office Manager for The NYC Transit
Authority and longtime resident of the area passed away peacefully
at his home on Monday November 21, 2011. He was 86. The son
of the late Anthony Coppola and Nancy Stasio Coppola, he was born
on September 4, 1925 in NYC. A Veteran of WWII, Mario proudly
served his county in the US Army from 1944-1946. He belonged to the
Transit Workers Union, the DAV from WWII and was extremely
patriotic. Survivors include his son, Anthony Coppola and his
wife Joyce of Otisville, 2 grandchildren, Angela and Vincent
Coppola and many nieces and nephews. Mario is predeceased by
his wife Gloria Coppola, his brothers, Louis and Joseph Coppola,
and his sisters, Anna Ottuso and Concetta Coppola. Graveside
Services and Inurnment will be held on Saturday December 3, 2011 at
10:00am at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen with Full
Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to
Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties 800 Stony Brook Court,
Newburgh, NY 12550. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan
