Henry G. Miller Jr.
Bloomingburg, NY
Henry G. Miller Jr. passed away on Wednesday May 18, 2011 at St.
Teresa's nursing home, he was 85. Henry was born on May 18, 1926 in
Glen Rock, N.J. to late Henry G. Miller Sr. and Daisy Mae
Greene. He married to Theresa Marie Amadei on Jan. 1, 1953,
and was married for 53 yrs. before she passed away in
2006. Henry was the Proprietor of Miller's Grocery
store; know as "The store with most anything" in Bloomingburg, Town
of Crawford, for 50 yrs. Before that he proudly worked for the A
& P in Glen Rock, N.J. Henry served his country as a Corporal
in the Army, stationed at Fort Bliss, TX during the Korean War.
During the summers he also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden
and watching the sunset. Henry is survived by three daughters:
Joanne Johnson and her husband David of Bloomingburg, Frances Cole
and her husband Timothy of Liberty, Theresa Miller Barzly ,and her
husband Azriel of Liberty, two sons: Charles Miller and his
companion Roberta Cheatham of Cuddebackville, and Henry G Miller
III of Jacksonville, FL. Seven grandchildren: David A. Johnson Jr.,
Brian Johnson, Shawn Johnson and his wife Yadira, and Gregory
Johnson all of Bloomingburg. Joseph Walker-Scott of Liberty, and
Paul Cole and his companion Sara Fimognari of Liberty and Jessica
Cheatham of Cuddebackville, three Great Grandchildren: Charlyanna
Johnson, Logan Johnson and Mackenzie Cole. One sister Beverly
Martin of Wurtsboro, one brother James Miller of New Port Richey,
Fl. and two sisters-in -law Marie Miller of Bloomingburg, and
Frances Henriksen of Pensacola, Fl. and numerous nieces and
nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by two
brothers: Frederick and Thomas Miller and two sisters: Roberta
Harper and Nancy Zazversky. We would like to thank the
wonderful Nurses and staff of St. Teresa's nursing home, where dad
spent his last week after a short illness. A special thanks
to Dr. Reitblat for her wonderful care of dad and to Mary
Dunkin, RN and Cathy Brunix (social worker) for being there for us
in our time of need. Visitation will be held on Monday May 23, 2011
from 4-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525
Burlingham Rd, Pine Bush. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill
crematory in Newburgh, NY. Burial of ashes will be at the private
and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted
