Obituary of Nina Pedri

Nina Pedri "Mama" Formerly of Jessup,PA Nina Pedri of Pine Bush, NY formerly of Jessup, PA, affectionately known to all as “Mama” passed away on Monday Feb 25, 2008 at ORMC Horton Campus. She was 83. The daughter of the late Angelo Carozzi and Lena Dallessandro Carozzi, she was born on Aug 16, 1924 in Jessup,Pennsylvania. Nina graduated from Jessup High School in 1942. She was employed at Barbizun and Skottie Electronics and worked in NJ during the war effort. She then moved to NYC when she married and lived there for 30 yrs. Nina worked as a book keeper for Grand Union in NYC.Upon retirement she moved to Pine Bush. Nina also worked for First Student (formerly Orange County Limo) for over 25 years, right up until last year. She loved working with the children and touched whosever lives she came in contact with. A family statement reads: “Mama was such a big part of our everyday lives and with her passing a little piece of each of us is missing. Her spirit will live on with us forever.” She is survived by her loving daughter, Marguerite Salsbury and her husband Ronald of Pine Bush, and loving son Kenneth Pedri of Jessup Pennsylvania, beloved grandchildren, Lori Haskin and her husband Dave of Pine Bush, Kristen Miranowicz and her husband Paul of Pine Bush, and Kara Mazzocchi of Montgomery. 4 cherished great grandchildren: Karlee, DJ, and Alexis Haskin and Mason Miranowicz. She is also survived by many cousin, niece Ann Michelle Carozzi and nephew Gilbert Carozzi. 2 maternal aunts, Lucy Alexander and Mary Pompino. She was predeceased by her husband Dante Pedri, brother, Gilbert Carozzi, and sister Mary Lou Carozzi. Visitation will be held on Thursday Feb. 28, 2008 from 6-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush, NY. Funeral services will be held on Friday Feb. 29, 2008 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home.
