Frank Alexander
Pine Bush, NY
Frank Alexander, a 33 year resident of Pine Bush, NY, died peacefully at home on Friday, September 25, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by those that he loved.
Frank was born in Minnesota before beginning a life that took him to many corners of the globe. Frank served in the Korean War from March 1951 to April 1953 as a motor pool sergeant for the U.S. Army.
He raised and raced Standardbred horses throughout the country for more than 60 years, loving every minute of it.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Regina Doyle and her husband Ray; his son, Michael Alexander and his wife, Tracie, along with their children, Tyler and Jamie, his daughter, Amy Alexander and her boyfriend, Michael Pluchino, Frank's former wife, Fran Shreders; retired polo pony, Nutmeg.
Frank had many people that loved him for the dynamically independent person that he was and he is already very, very missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, from 2-5 p.m. at William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, NY, with a Memorial Service immediately following.
