Obituary of Ellen E. Ryan

Ellen E. Ryan Pine Bush, NY Ellen E. Ryan, a 13-year resident of Pine Bush, formerly of South Belmar, entered into rest on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus, Middletown, NY. She was 53. The daughter of Donald J. Spellman and the late Joan D. Joseph Spellman, she was born August 14, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour; she was a small livestock breeder; belonged to the International Goat Assoc., and started Critter Sitters and Party Pets LLC, with her dear friend, Christa Marra. Survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, James Ryan, at home; beloved children: James Ryan of South Carolina, Therese Ryan, Kathleen Ryan, and Michelle Ryan, all of Pine Bush; her beloved father, Donald J. Spellman of Pine Bush; beloved sisters: Susan Ruppel of Virginia, Anne Spellman of South Carolina, and Noreen Charlip of South Carolina; beloved brothers, John Spellman of Long Beach, NY, and Edward Spellman of Ohio; many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, from 4-8 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc., 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Infant Saviour, Route 302, Pine Bush, NY, with Father Kevin Gallagher. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
