Obituary of Jean M. Shumanski

Jean Marie Shumanski " Aunt Jean" Pine Bush, NY Jean Marie Shumanski of Pine Bush, NY and Parkland FL passed away peacefully Sunday morning with a beautiful suntan, her loving mother, and her loyal sidekick Rusty by her side. Jean was born September 12, 1955 in Middletown, NY and was the daughter of Miriam Shumanski and the late Mike Shumanski of Pine Bush. Jean was a graduate of Pine Bush High School Class of 1974 and also graduated Summa Cum Laude from College of Boca Raton, FL. She was the former Manager of Gateway Travel Trailers Sales that she ran side by side with her parents. Jean will be remembered by so many. She always worked hard like her dad, Mike, to make a buck. She retired in Florida and was doing what she loved to do; going to the beach, traveling, cruising and cooking for her family. Aunt Jean was the best cookie baker for her nieces and nephew. In the past she loved to drive her Corvette. We all have so many memories of Jean. She will be missed by her loving family, mom, Miriam Shumanski of Parkland, FL, her brother Andrew of Parkland, FL and her loving sisters Leslie Shumanski - Marco of Pine Bush, Dale Shumanski of NYC, Judi Shumanski Almeida and her girls Alexandra & Angela (nieces) of Fountain Hills, AZ, sister Cara & her husband Jim Robertson and their children Griffin & Renee of Pine Bush. Jean loved her beautiful Yorkie "Rusty". Visitation will be held on Thursday May 16, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday May 17, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Hewitt officiating. Burial will take place in the family plot in New Prospect Cemetery.
