Obituary of Daniel W. Voss

Daniel W. Voss Middletown, NY Daniel W. Voss of Middletown and a longtime resident of the area, died Saturday March 10, 2007 at his home. He was 85. The son of Harry H. Voss and Elsie Nealey Voss, he was born on January 4, 1922 in Bayonne, NJ. Daniel was a Draftsman for Felenzer Engineering in Middletown, an exempt member of the Pine Bush Fire Dept, life member of the Orange County Volunteer Fireman Association, former Deacon of the New Prospect Reformed Church in Pine Bush, member of the Middletown Senior Citizens, and Town of Crawford Town Justice for 8 years. A Veteran and Staff Sargent of the US Army , Daniel served in Saipan and the Hawaiian Islands during WWII. He received the American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Survivors include his loving son Michael Voss and his wife Nanci of Walker Valley, 5 loving grandchildren: Alicia, Victoria, and Michael Voss Jr, and Stephanie and Katie Ross. 1 loving sister Barbara Patterson and her husband Pat of Walnutport, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Therese Voss. Visitation will be on Thursday March 15, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Road Pine Bush, NY. Funeral services will be on Friday March 16, 2007 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Rosa officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in New Prospect Cemetery.
