Robert H. Weissert
Robert H. Weissert of Montgomery, a Carpenter and a lifelong resident of the area, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown. He was 70.
The son of the late Frederick Weissert and Josephine Stratton Weissert, he was born August 7, 1936 in Middletown, N.Y.
He was a member of the Middletown Fire Dept. Monhagen Company, Veterans Firemans Association.
Survivors include his loving wife, Evelyn Anderson Weissert, at home; three loving children: Christina Whitney and her husband, Peter of Hanover, Mass., Dr. Jennifer Weissert of Jamacia Plain, Mass., and Matthew Weissert of Greenwood Lake; three beloved grandchildren: Ava, Isabella, and Aidan Whitney; mother-in-law, Lola Anderson of Middletown; brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and good friend, Rose Gihr.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2007 from 3-5 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22 at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating.
Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory. Burial of ashes will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the Walden Humane Society, PO Box 35, Walden, NY 12586.
