Obituary of Kenneth M. Youngs

Kenneth M. Youngs Kenneth M. Youngs of Pine Bush, N.Y., the owner of Youngs' Service Station, Inc. in Pine Bush and a lifetime area resident, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at home with his family at his side. He was 67. The son of Hanford Youngs and Lillian Lawrence Youngs, he was born on March 13, 1938 in Pine Bush. Kenneth was a member of the Hudson Valley Pigeon Club and a former member of the Walker Valley Sportsman Club. A family statement reads, "Ken was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him, and never thought twice about helping those in need. Ken enjoyed racing his pigeons and spending time with his many customers at the garage. This gentle man will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and community." Survivors include his beloved wife, Joan, at home; his loving sons, Kevin M. Youngs and Rebecca of Pine Bush, and Roger Youngs and Kimberly of Tampa, Fla.; beloved grandsons, Kevin M. Youngs, Jr. of Pine Bush and Brandon M. Youngs of Pine Bush; his loving brother, Charles Youngs of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Patrick Youngs and Donald Youngs. Visitation will be on Friday, October 21, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot in the Bullville Cemetery, Bullville, N.Y.
