Jack Delaney, a Retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Local 825
in Middletown, and longtime resident of the area, passed away on
Friday February 25, 2011 at ORMC Horton Campus. He was
69. The son of the late Christopher C. Delaney and Jessie
Butcher Delaney, he was born on December 16, 1941 in Tarpon,
Virginia. Jack was a member of the Dwaarkill Rod and Gun
Club. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ursula at home, 4
sons; Jack Delaney of Middletown, Darell Delaney and his wife Diane
of Gardiner, Steven Delaney of Pine Bush, and Keith Delaney and his
wife Theresa of Scotchtown, 9 grandchildren; Anna, Joey, Johnny,
Tiffaney, Darell, Derek, Stephenie, Jordan, and Jacqlyn. 1 great
granddaughter; Caidyn. Jack is further survived by many
nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by all his brothers and
sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 1, 2011
from 5-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525
Burlingham RD, Pine Bush. Cremation will take place at Cedar
Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make a
donation in Jack's name to: The American Heart Association, Heart
Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
