Peter S. Bufalo Peter S. Bufalo, 68, a resident of the area since 1950, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown. The son of Sylvester Peter Bufalo and Marie Schweizer Bufalo, he was born on September 28, 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired Lt. with the NYS Department of Corrections, having worked 28 years for the state and finally retiring from the Wallkill Correctional Facility. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a lifelong member of the Dwaarkill Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine H. Carey Bufalo at home; two loving sons, Jeffrey Bufalo and his wife, Katherine of Pine Bush and James Bufalo and his wife, Kathryn of Montgomery; four loving grandchildren: Samantha, Cody, Bradley, and Matthew. A family statement reads: "Peter was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family." Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc., 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Kevin Gallagher will officiate. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dwaarkill Rod and Gun Club, 596 Hoagerburg Hill Road, Wallkill, NY 12589. Arrangements were made by the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc.
