Angelina P. Butcher, a retired employee for JC Penny in NYC and
longtime resident of the area, passed away on Saturday February 16,
2013 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was 87.
The daughter of the late Theodore Phakias and Helen Kalevas Phakias
she was born on June 29, 1925 in New York City. Angelina was active
in the Pine Bush Seniors, and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Theodore Inserra and his wife
Elizabeth of Saugerties and Michael Inserra and his wife Marie of
South Carolina, 5 grandchildren, Jason, Elizabeth, Nicole, Danielle
and Michael, step grandson; Ryan Crispino and wife Clara of VA, and
John of Kingston. 1 great grandchild, Paige Crispino, brother;
Nicholas Phakias and wife Bessie of CT, sister Bessie Centini
and husband Angelo of VT, and several nieces and nephews.
Angelina is predeceased by her husband James Butcher, sisters; Dora
Taramina and Martha Pergatorio. Interment of ashes will be
conducted on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 1pm at the Bruynswick
Rural Cemetery in Wallkill, NY with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt
officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral
