Robert Francis Anderson Pine Bush, NY Robert F. Anderson of Pine Bush passed away on Friday August 1, 2014 at ORMC peacefully with his family by his side. He was 80 yrs old. Robert is a 26 year cancer survivor. The son of the late Frank Anderson and Irene Tamm Anderson he was born on April 27, 1934 in Manhattan. Robert served his country from 1954-1956 in the US Army and was the past Commander and Life Member of the G. Paul Bettinger Post 1308 American Legion. He was a retired US Postal Carrier and Goshen School District Courier and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ann E. Anderson at home, son; Robert Anderson of Accord, NY daughter; Arlene Stoll and her husband Howard of Ormond Beach, FL, daughter, Kim Howerter and her husband Robert of Circleville, NY, son; Eugene Anderson of Middletown, NY, daughter; Dawn Anderson of Pine Bush, NY; daughter; Cheryl Cattau of Pine Bush, NY, brothers; Donald, James and Martin Anderson, sisters; Diane Winkler, Carole LaGarde, and Jeanne Goll. Grandchildren; Robert and Sarah Anderson, Bradley and Katherine Howerter, Michael Vente and Emily Bruyn, Ryan, Nicholas, and Cody Cattau, and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his brother, Frank Anderson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 5, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Services will be conducted on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery with full Military Honors.
