Obituary of Irene A. McConnell

Irene A. McConnell Montgomery, NY Irene A. McConnell, a retired secretary for George Thompson Agency passed away on March 26, 2016 in Montgomery. She was 90. The daughter of the late David and Charlotte Schweit, she was born on July 21, 1925 in Bronx, NY. Irene was a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour. She was devoted to her family, had a witty sense of humor and was beloved by many. Survivors include her children; Ed McConnell and his wife Sherri of Pine Bush, Maureen Corbacio and her husband Joe of Goshen, Mike McConnell and his wife Beverly of Pine Bush; 5 grandchildren; Christopher McConnell and his wife Janeen, Eddie McConnell, Colleen Gurda-Trigg and her husband Andrew, Michael McConnell and his wife Erin, and Jackie Gurda. 3 great grandchildren, Lexi McConnell, Brea McConnell and Braeden McConnell. Irene is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by her husband Edward McConnell. Visitation will take place on Thursday March 31, 2016 from 9-10am at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. Funeral Services will be held at 10am at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery.
