Obituary of Steven C. Larson

Steven C. Larson Pine Bush, NY Steven (Steve) C. Larson of Pine Bush NY passed away suddenly on Thursday December 29th 2016 at home. He was 65. The son of Vincent and Joan Larson he was born on April 7th 1951 in Brooklyn, NY. Steve was a Veteran of the US Army and an active member of the Local 40 Ironworkers Union, New York, NY since 1981. He was a dedicated and hard worker who truly loved what he did. Steve loved to tell stories to anyone that would listen, especially of Iron working to his five sons who all followed in his footsteps. He loved working with his hands on just about anything, especially cars in his garage. Steve loved to teach his children and grandchildren everything he knew and would drop everything to help anyone who needed a hand. He always put others before himself. Steve was also an avid Yankee fan and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife Joyce of 36 years, his six children and five grandchildren; Steven Larson and his children Olivia and Michael, Melissa Larson and her children Sienna and Jarae, Cory Larson and his Fiancé Megan Owens, Shaun Larson, Jesse Larson and his wife Brandi and their daughter Brooklyn, and Christian Larson, his mother Joan Larson, his brother Richard Larson and his wife Leslie, and his niece Jennifer Larson and her family, all of New Jersey. He is pre-deceased by his father Vincent Larson of New Jersey, his mother and father in-law, Thea and Walter Nelson of Brooklyn, NY, his brother in-law Richie Nelson of Brooklyn NY, and his cherished pets Roscoe and Slash whom he loved very much. Visitation will be held at William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 4th 2017 at 11am at the funeral home with burial to follow at New Prospect Cemetery.
