Linda Theresa Tefel (Chickie), a retired Registered Nurse passed away on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center surrounded in love by her “adopted” family. She was 69. The daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Diaz) Tefel she was born June 1, 1947 in the Bronx, NY. Loving niece of Aida Roeben (Tefel) and Mary Martinez (Tefel) of Seattle Washington, and Christina (Diaz) Sweet of Piscataway NJ, and “brother” Nieco (Mary) Martinez of California. Loving cousin of many especially Theresa (Frank) Runiak, Lenny Sweet, Felicia (Eric) Cofield, Monique (Michael) Luque, Gabriella Sweet and Selena Sweet, and babies Phoenix Cofield and Mason Luque . Adored “adopted” sister of Linda Piccirilli of Pine Bush, Joseph (Theresa) Piccirilli of Bloomingburg, Lorraine Piccirilli Longobardo (Vincent) of North Carolina and Patricia Piccirilli Epstein (deceased). Beloved “adopted” aunt of Frank (Kim) Piccirilli of Pine Bush, Gina (Kevin Davies) Piccirilli of Pine Bush, Daniel (Corrine) Epstein of Georgia, Nicole (Mark) Pitcher of North Carolina, Christopher (Heather) Longobardo of MD, Jackie Lavandowski of Greenville NY, Mark Lavandowski of North Carolina, and Dawn Fikes of California. Linda will be missed by many “adopted” nieces and nephews especially Kayla, Reilly, Cody and Sophia, Stephanie, Isabella, Vincent, Samantha, Adriana, Alexander and Gabriella. Predeceased by her beloved Muffin, Pumpkin, Smokey, Jackson, Dickory and BlackJack. Linda was an intensive care registered nurse who retired after 25 years from NY Hospital in 2001. She was an extraordinary nurse who touched the lives of many with her skill and kindness. She loved her furry friends, gambling, and the NY Yankees. She was an avid reader especially of history – just like her mother. She will be missed by many friends especially Connie Grzelka, Monica and Ken Coville and Lorinda Sealey. We are all very grateful for the wonderful care Linda received at Ellenville Regional Hospital and Orange Regional Medical Center both in the ICU, Stepdown Unit and especially finally on the Oncology Unit-Hospice. Visitation will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY. Burial will take place on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 11am in Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Road, Robbinsville, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to the William M.
