Marie has been a part of my life since I was born (1971), that's why I consider her my grandmother.
I have many memories of visiting with her and her Brother at her home in NY & Florida. I remember feeding the geese and ducks. She always had great cookies and desserts on the table. She loved Wiener Dogs and had a few while I was growing up. She went to many of my violin concerts and even came to Disney World to watch me march in the band parade. She loved to square dance and was very good with my Grandpa. She was always so gentle, open and loving. She loved to sit, talk and drink her coffee after a nice dinner.
I talked to her and my grandpa about every two weeks and I just got back from Italy two weeks ago and hadn't called yet tell her all about it. But I remember her talking about Italy to me growing up. I thought of her while I was there
(especially at the Vatican in Rome) and I will continue to think of her for the rest of my life.
She will be greatly missed and is very loved.
