John A. Wojciechowicz a retired Vice President of Quality Assurance with Medical Lab Automation in Pleasantville, NY and longtime resident of the area passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 86. The son of the late Walter A. “Watchlaw” Wojciechowicz and Katherine Therese Vuraccwrska, he was born on March 30, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. A Veteran, John served his country as a Lance Corporal in the US Marines. John was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg. Survivors include his children; Catherine Wojciechowicz and her partner Scott Yales of Riverdale, NJ, Christine Caputo and her husband Eugene of Flemington, NJ,  Elizabeth Jeffers and her partner Marc Mazzone of Nashville, Tennessee, John Wojciechowicz and his partner Michelle Annunziata of Pine Bush, and Barbara Schick and her husband Christopher of Pine Bush, 7 grandchildren; Timothy, Taylor, Olivia, Kyle, Evan, Aris, and Ryan Sister; Lottie “Wlaezia” Wojciechowicz, niece Marianne Wojciechowicz, and great nephew, Michael Wojciechowicz. John is predeceased by his wife Rosalie, and his sister, Edna “Hedwig” Wojciechowicz. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 16, 2017 from 2-5pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday July 17, 2017 at 10am at Our Lady of Assumption in Bloomingburg.
