James M. Fairbairn, a retired Truck Driver for Dairylea and Yellow Freight
passed away on September 7, 2017 at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 79.  The son of the late Melvin and Vita Fairbairn, he was born on December 24, 1937 in Delhi, NY.  A Veteran, James served his country in the US Air Force from 1956-1958,  a 35+ Member of the Bullville Fire Department and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Montgomery. Survivors include his wife Bonnie at home, his children, Donna Hessinger and her husband Kenneth of White Sulphur Springs, Walter Breckheimer and his significant other, Jennifer Mack of Montgomery, and Timothy Breckheimer and his wife Lorie of Phoenix, NY, brothers, Anthony Fairbairn and his significant other, Patty McDermott, John Fairbairn and his wife Donna, and Melvin Fairbairn and his wife Shelly, sisters, Joan Gray and her husband Ronald, and Gail Fairbairn, brother in law, Edward Breckheimer. James is further survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and is predeceased by his daughter, Rhonda Rhyne and sister in law, Jeanne Passino.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 12, 2017 from 11am-2pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY 12566. Services will be held at 1pm at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh.
