Obituary of Donald Knueppel

Donald Knueppel, an Entrepreneur and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Thursday February 8, 2018 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in the Town of Hamptonburgh. He was 32.

The son of Robert Knueppel Jr.  and Michele Wallentine, he was born on July 8, 1985 in Jersey City, NJ. Donnie enjoyed WWE Wrestling, karaoke, dancing, sports, drawing, singing, and playing video games. He also enjoyed meeting new people,spending time with his family and friends, and was a real ladies man.

Family would describe Donnie as a kind, compassionate, and free spirited soul. He was quick to love everyone whom he came in contact with, and no one felt other than family when in  his company. If there is one thing that is certain, he will be missed deeply by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his children, Donald Knueppel Jr., and Edward Moscatiello, parents, Michele Wallentine and Robert Knueppel Jr., step father John Pucino, siblings, Allison Gross and her husband Brian, Lindsay Knueppel, Robert Knueppel and his fiancé Kristen Porpora, and 1 fur brother, Opie. He is further survived by his step siblings, Sharon and her husband Albi, Courtney and her husband Eric, Morgan, Angelina, and John John, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as the mother of his child and best friend Jennie Pearson of Middletown.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2018 from 5-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. Services will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family in care of his children.
