Edward J. Cullen, a retired Lieutenant with the FDNY Engine 64 in the Bronx,  passed away on Monday March 5, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 92. The son of the late Edward J. Cullen Sr. And Anna Finn Cullen, he was born on February 5, 1926 in Bronx, NY.  A Veteran in the United States Navy, Edward served his country from 1943-1947 obtaining the rank of Signalman Second Class. Edward was a parishioner of St. Paul’s Church in Bullville.  Survivors include his children, Edward Cullen and his wife Kathy of Florida, Christine Mahoney and her husband John of Middletown, John Cullen and his fiancé Diane Poling of Delaware, Elizabeth Ross and her husband John of New Jersey, and Patricia Berentsen and her husband Todd of Bloomingburg, brother, John Cullen of South Carolina, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Edward is predeceased by his wife Hughina Cullen, brother, Charles Cullen, sisters, Jeannette McLane and Anne Conroy. Visitation will be held on Friday March 9, 2018 from 5-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday March 10, 2018 at 10am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bullville. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
