Wendy, Bob,
I am sorry for your loss. I had the distinct privilege of having Mrs. Bender as a first grade teacher, and a CCD instructor. She was a great teacher, and I still have fond memories of her kindness. She nurtured a love of learning in her students. I know my mom counted her as a friend as well.

Bob and Family,
My deepest sympathies on the loss of Carolyn. What a great person! One of my fondest memories of Carolyn is from the first day in my new job as principal in Pakanasink. Carolyn was summer school principal when I arrived at Pak to assume my duties. Dressed rather casually, with my dog in tow, I walked in the building. Carolyn was greeting the arriving students. She pretty much threw me out that morning until she got confirmation from the district office that I really was legit. She was vigilant about her responsibilities always, but she sure loved to laugh. Carolyn made a difference to so many lives.
I’ll miss her.

I tried to post earlier but I am not seeing it. I just wanted to say to Bob how sorry I am to hear of Carolyn's death. You two were blessed to have one another. I have the fondest memories of a gracious Coach's wife at wrestling banquets and knowing her at St Paul's as an older teen. I remember what a beautiful child Wendy was. I am just so sorry for you all. She sure packed a lot into her life and leaves a legacy of love. My address is Bett Union-Jakubek PO Box 8194 Ketchikan, Alaska 99901 in case a trip to Alaska is on your bucket list! Biggest of hugs, Bett
