At a time when a woman's voice was considered irrelevant, you made yours heard. You helped shape a generation of women willing to fight for what they believe in. You did this in your quiet, soft-toned demeanor. We listened! Thank you. Thank you, also, for Social study halls!

Aunt Barbara was our father’s youngest sister. She was beloved by all of us and took a keen interest in her nieces and nephews as we grew up in Thompson Ridge just a few miles from her family’s home in Searsville. She took us camping and canoeing and often led sing-alongs while she drove us around with our cousins in her Oldsmobile station wagon. She guided us all through 10th grade English at Pine Bush High School and fostered a great love of reading in us. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a great laugh, and we will miss her.

How I enjoyed Mrs. Roebuck in school! She was SO excited about everything related to literature and (dare I say proper) English. She inspired me to love reading and alas, I’ve also become a grammar police (much to my children’s dismay).
She is dancing with the angels now! Be at peace Mrs. Roebuck ❤️
