Graham Stillwell Jamison, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Sunday December 8, 2024. He was 95. The son of the late George S. He resided there until the age of 18, when the family moved to the Town of Crawford here in Orange County. After graduating from Glens Falls High School, he entered Cornell University and studied at the School of Agriculture with the intention of becoming a dairy farmer. His plans were interrupted by Military Service. Graham served his country in the United States Army during the years of 1952-1954. He commanded a motor pool at the base, close to the front lines and organized convoys carrying ammunition to the battle scene. After unloading the ammunition, the wounded were brought to the medical bases. On one trip the convoy was strafed by enemy planes. After his deployment, Graham returned to Thompson Ridge and joined his brother, Donald to build their dairy farm. In 1956 he married Ellen Zneimer and they settled in Thompson Ridge. Always interested in politics, Graham became a member of the Town of Crawford, town board later being elected as Town Supervisor and served for 16 years. He was also a Board Member for Walden Savings Bank in Walden, NY.
Graham was known locally as “Mike”, a nickname he acquired when he was a small child. Survivors include his beloved wife, Ellen at home, and his 3 sons: Philip V.O. Jamison (Lori), Kenneth S. Jamison (Christine), and Christopher U. Jamison. Graham is further survived by 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
