Years ago actually 2001 to be exact we are having a graduation party in the woods behind Dave's neighbor's house. We're going to have a bonfire right along the kill there and just enjoy ourselves and maybe drink and smoke. Normal stuff for some 16 and 17 year olds that just graduated. The problem was that David Junior invited a bunch of people that really were not friends with our group of friends. It wasn't that we didn't like each other or anything we just got along better with each other. When I got to Dave's house there was already people outside their cars. Bottles were being smashed & Dave's mailbox was smashed already as well. The driveway was already filled up with cars so people were forced to park on the road. We decided to still make the best of it and throw the party. we headed back to the campfire and everything seems fine our group of friends hanging out with each other and their group of friends hanging out with themselves. So there was definitely a wall up if you could say that. There was only a few people from Scotchtown but they seem to be in a group of four that were separated from the main pack of us
Once we started drinking and smoking things became rowdy. I started to see glass bottles being thrown from the darkness of the woods towards the group of us. A friend of mine actually got hit and started to get really angry and started to scream and yell. Out of nowhere big David pondi pondi shows up out of nowhere and begins to ask why there's all broken glass and why there's s*** all over his yard is broken.
the four people that were actually starting this s*** at our graduation party calm down and began to chill. Big Dave started to question everyone on what happened and why things are broken. Not that I felt that I was a leader or anyting of our friends but I felt like no one else was going to say anything and actually stand up so let it be me. And that's exactly what I did I stood up and called out the four people that were starting s***. Call me being a rat or snitch but I said this stuff right straight to their faces. But aside from this I thought that the 24 other friends of mine about ours had my back. So once I called out those four people Everyone Else remain silent. The for kids started to Circle me and Big Dave. I've been in some crazy situations with big day pondi but up to this point this was the craziest we stood back-to-back while being circles buy these for wannabe thugs straight gangsters at our little shindig in the woods. They circled us for about 5 minutes me and Dave back to back. Dave told me he was going to take care of the big Puerto Rican guy and I was going to go after the smaller Spanish dude cuz I knew him from school and then we can fight. But after circling us and talkin s*** they subsided and backed off. It's kind of sad that it was a 6 to 1 ratio of US versus them and no one had my back but worst of all had Dave on these back because he was the one allowing us to party there on the last day of school. Once things die down I walked over to get a beer and started talking s*** to one of my friends for not having the balls to have my back. I turn around and get sucker punched in the nose. Of course I don't get knocked out or anyting I just start bleeding really bad. I guess he thought that he was going to knock me out and that fact that he didn't he wasn't just going to fight me one-on-one or even four on one they were just going to back off into the woods. Why my nose gushed blood I went towards the campfire and start to scream and yell at all my so-called friends and how much of a b**** ass move it was to not stand up for me or Dave. More bottles began to get thrown so Dave's dad told me on the side and said we're going to take a back way home. We know the woods really well right there so we wound up walking on a side trail that cut off a lot of the hike back so we were the first ones back to the house. The kid that drove the other three from Scotchtown or are they are from to our changing was not back yet but his car was sitting right in front of us. Too bad his father is a Middletown officer cop maybe even a detective not sure but we were told not to do anything because he be coming after us. So we didn't destroy his car. I went inside to assess my nose and my face and it was just bleeding so bad. Susan immediately call 911 and I told her there was really no need but good thing she did because when it went outside our friend Mike was beaten with a stick or something really bad and wound up losing a third of his vision in his eye. Once I saw my friend Mike and his eye and how bad it was I am care about my nose or anything but seeing him like that knowing he was just an innocent peace and loving dude it really pissed me off. I'll end this story with Dave coming outside with a loaded shotgun and f****** shots right above their heads several times until they left. So to make a long story short I had my nose broken and Mike lost some of his vision is eye for no reason and What hurts the most is that we had 23 of our good friends there to have her back in this total totally avoidable shity last day of high school. God bless you Dave and thank you for everything. This moment will go down in history as one of the best example of someone having my back. Hope you're resting in peace Dave and that they're serving Blackberry Brandy up in heaven...
