Pine Bush Joe, as his family at the Union House in Walden referred to him , will be forever in our hearts. He was a great man and even though we had not seen him in a few years we will miss him. I often asked a fellow firefighter about him and Joe was in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless his family . We have lost a great man.
I WORKED WITH JOE FROM 1977-1986 WHEN HE RETIRED. I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE TO HAVE HIM AND OTHER SENIOR MEN TO LEARN FROM. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER OUR TIME TOGETHER. I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HIM. HE WAS A GREAT FIREFIGHTER AND FRIEND. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
We are deeply saddened to learn that Joe is no longer with us. He was a dear friend and we will always cherish the fun times we had with him. Our sympathy goes out to the whole family and to Lil. We know he is now out of pain...and we are better people for having known him and having Joe as our friend.
