To the O'Connell Family-
Eddie was my student in 1992, on the 6th Grade Blue Team at Crispell Middle School. I have taught hundreds of kids over the years, and it isn't often that one student stands out. Eddie did!
I clearly remember him because, although academics didn't come easily, Eddie did his best, and he was so easy to teach. He was kind, a gentleman, an athlete (baseball was his life, even at 11 years old!), and most of all, never gave up.
I ran into Eddie in 2009 in Kingston, and immediately recognized him We spoke briefly, and he told me about his life, and he liked being in my class.
I am deeply saddened by his passing and send my sincerest thoughts to his family, especially his Mom and Dad. God Speed, Eddie.

Eddie, although we grew apart over the years, I never stopped loving you and praying for you each and every day. I know you are finally at peace now. Please watch over your beautiful daughters from above, and say hi to all our grandparents for me.
You were one of the best baseball players I ever knew, and I have told my son all about your many baseball accomplishments growing up, and hope that he can someday be the player that you were.
