Jeremy R. Monaco, a native of the Pine Bush area and a Machinist for Marble Medical in Florida, went home to the Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2019, in Tallahassee . He was 29. The son of Theresa Buckley Jones and the late Frank A. Monaco, he was born on October 26, 1989, in Goshen, NY. A Veteran, Jeremy served his country for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. He received an Honorable Discharge in 2015. During his time of service, he was stationed in Quantico, Virginia, and in Okinowa, Japan. After his military service, he worked in the security industry. Jeremy loved the outdoors, sunrises to sunsets and everything in between, especially at Bear Hill.
Jeremy loved deeply, in particular his mom Theresa, his girlfriend Stephanie, his family, and many close friends. Jeremy has been described by his family and friends as compassionate, loyal, resolute, insightful, adventurous, and a strong leader.
Survivors include his mother Theresa Jones and her husband Keith of Wurtsboro, sisters Jean Youngman and her husband Ron of Mount Hope, and Carrie Decker and her husband Tom of Burlingham, and brother Jeremiah Jones of Cohoes. Jeremy is further survived by his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and was predeceased by his grandparents, his brother Frank Monaco, and his uncles Ron Buckley and Angelo Monaco.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc., 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush NY 12566. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, February 18, 2019, at 10 am at the Church of the Infant Saviour, 22 Holland Ave., Pine Bush NY 12566 The family has requested that all those who wish to send flowers consider sending plants so they can live on in Jeremy's name.
